As you begin working on creating a beautiful space you may find that deciding exactly what you want or need is easier said than done. We can help guide you through the steps to make sure your choices are suitable and beautifully executed.
The first step is the initial meeting at the home. During this visit I gather as much information about your space as I can. I take measurements of the space, windows and existing furniture. I examine your home and try to imagine living in the space and how it is and could be used. We discuss what you are looking to accomplish, and how you would like to get there. For example, are we developing a plan that we can chip away at in time or is there a particular event coming up by which you would like to have the room completed? We discuss patterns and color and look at the things that might inspire you. I love looking at someone’s “dream file”. It really gives me insight into what you are thinking of for your space visually. I know it is hard for many people to put their style into words and clippings from a magazine are a great help in passing me the message.
Next, I take my findings and develop a plan based on what we have discussed. I put together a presentation that takes into consideration all of your concerns and addresses them individually. At this point I gather fabrics, wood and other samples, that might help you envision your space and how we are going to change it. We discuss the pros and cons of different arrangements and how they might affect your daily life. We explore the fabrics and colors to see how you respond to them. If we agree on everything we place the orders and get the work going. Now all that’s left to do is sit back and enjoy your new living space!
